Thanks to the efforts of members like you, legislators in Olympia have been getting our message in their inboxes and on their answering machines: we want them to create laws that will get more people riding, more often, and more safely. Now, it's crunch time! House Bill 1490 must pass through the House of Representatives by next week.
In neighborhoods where we're making major investments in new transit, HB 1490 would create close-knit, bicycle and pedestrian-friendly communities. These areas will have destinations closer together so more people can walk or bike to work, school, the store or their transit stops.
Please take a moment to support or mission of Creating A Better Community Through Bicycling in your city and throughout Washington. Contact your state representative here.
Tell him or her to "vote YES on bill 1490." Making your voice heard will help us reach our goal.
Thank you for your advocacy,
